writers_over_25 is a place for writers that have a bit of experience under their belts and have passed and moved on from Mrs. Blandfield's Creative Writing 101. Do you have a bit of the next novel to hit the New York Times Best Sellers list you'd like to share? Maybe you have a short story or two that are dying to find the eyes of an audience? How about some poetry?
Are you a professional, published author? Maybe you're a frustrated writer with a pile of rejection slips? Or are you a housewife who likes to dabble a bit at the computer while the kids are taking their naps? At any rate, if you are a writer of fiction and over 25, this is the place for you.
Oh, and if you don't really like to write but you're looking to read and maybe critique some works of fiction, you're welcome here, too.

|realwriters||05:29 am - Not precisely a community|
I've created this journal because I wanted to be able to follow discussions about writing on one page, without cluttering up my main friends page with people I don't know. I thought other people might be interested in this too. Check it out!
You're very welcome to bookmark the friends list. You're even more welcome to suggest more journals that should be on the list. I'm looking for LJs of professional writers who talk about writing, and mostly public content, since you can't see locked posts on other people's friends pages. At the moment I have mostly science fiction / fantasy, but that's just because those are the writers I'm aware of on LJ.
